1. Monhegan Island, Maine Ogham inscription, alleged, in the old Celtic Goidelic tongue. See Columbus Was Last by Patrick Huyghe, Hyperion, New York, New York 1992, p. 68. This is an interesting book that refers to many such sites. - Jack

2. Los Lunas, New Mexico (15 miles northwest) near the banks of the Rio Puerco River an ancient paleo-Hebrew Inscription on a large flat rock, containing a slightly abridged version of the Decalogue or Ten Commandments. See Weird America by Jim Brandon, E.P. Dutton, New York, New York, 1978, p. 145. The author used a unique approach to research, traveling to many of the sites described, interesting and unusual reading. - Jack

3. Tucson, Arizona (Silverbell Road) The Tucson "Lead Crosses" bearing Latin and Hebrew inscriptions, one of which states: "Counsels of great cities together with seven hundred soldiers A.D. 800, Jan. 1." "We are borne over the sea to Calalus, an unknown land ..." See Calalus : a Roman Jewish colony in America from the time of Charlemagne through Alfred the Great by Cyclone Covey, New York : Vantage Press, 1975. This is excellent book by a very knowledgeable authority. I highly admire the work of Dr. Covey. It is unique, thoroughly researched and educational. - Jack

4. Searsport, Maine, Carved head of a Druid (Celtic Priest) was allegedly found near here. See Columbus Was Last by Patrick Huyghe, Hyperion, New York, New York 1992, p. 68 see my comments on this book, above. - Jack

5. White River, Vermont , Stone Chamber with inscriptions possibly dedicated to the Celtic Sun god, "Bel". See Columbus Was Last by Patrick Huyghe, Hyperion, New York, New York 1992, p. 66 see above - Jack

6. 20 miles NE of Florence, Arizona along the Gila River near "Cochran" ghost town, four alleged "Phoenician constructed" large stone mortar - less masonry domed "beehive kilns". See Wierd America by Jim Brandon, E.P. Dutton, New York, New York, 1978, p. 5 see my comments on this book above - Jack

7. Solem Township, outside Kensington, Minnesota, (location probable on map) the well known Kensington "Runestone", with alleged Viking inscriptions. See Wierd America by Jim Brandon, E.P. Dutton, New York, New York, 1978, p.116 see my comments on this book above - Jack

9. Grand Canyon, Arizona, alleged "Egyptian/E. Indian/Tibetan Underground Citadel"

10. St. Louis, Michigan (Gradiot County) clay tablets inscribed with possible "Coptic Christian" (fled from Egypt around 5th century A.D.) writing. See "Michigan Relics: Are They Frauds?" by Rudolph Etzenhouser in Ancient American: Archaeology of the Americas Before Columbus, vol. 6 , issue 37, p.13. I feel Ancient American magazine is an excellent outlet for both published and unpublished authors and a very interesting magazine...great reading for those interested ancient mysteries. - Jack

Louisville, Kentucky ("Falls of the Ohio River") Stone fort thought to have been built by Welsh sailors about 1169 A.D. - See Lost Buried and Sunken Treasures of the Midwest by Michael Paul Henson, self published, Jeffersonville, IN 1973, p. 25 An excellent self published book for not only the treasure hunter, but those who enjoy curious and little known historical stories. - Jack

12. Below Clarksville, Indiana, (large field) six skeletons found in 1799 dressed in armor with the "Welsh coat of arms" on the skeletons. George Rogers Clark believed the skeletons to possibly be the soldiers mentioned in the note (11.) above. 15. Idaho (location approximate) Alabaster "egg" carrying the alleged cartouche of Egyptian Pharaoh "Tutankhamen" discovered by a "Mr. Kincaid"
