The block has a healthy sheen of high quality limestone. Polished, it should resist erosion admirably.

The Trilithon is in the upper left corner in this southwest view. It reaches past the south wall of Jupiter's temple. The nine giant blocks just below and to the south of the Jupiter's temple continue from the six support blocks under the Trilithon, and are like the nine blocks on the north side
